I really think everyone needs a pretty place. Someplace they go or something they do for themselves that makes them feel good. Being a stay-at-home mom, I know from experience it’s easy to get into the habit of wearing sweatpants and a baggy T-shirt everday(why bother, right?)- but that was NOT a pretty place. I’m sure for the people out there that get ready to go to work outside of home everyday, this may seem silly but, my pretty place is easy to get to. I simply put on a pair of jeans, a nice shirt, and do my hair and make-up (Mary Kay, of course). Then, at least I feel like me and not a-what did Oprah call it?- a shlupadinka.
